tesmith2112 0 Posted September 25, 2012 See the image below. As you can see, there is a noticeable amount of dust/lint on the hands, in fact there's a lot of lint on the underside of the crystal. Of course I can take the dial out and give it a light blast of compressed air, which will help. I have a feeling the lint is sticking to grease left from a fingerprint. Even though the air will help, I think I'm going to need to somehow polish those tiny little hands. How is the done? Do I take them out and let them sit in a solvent, or do I use a very small instrument and try to polish them still attached to to the dial/movement? Clearly I don't know what the hell I'm doing, so any help would be appreciated.
10:10 Watch Repair 1 Posted September 26, 2012 neither solvent nor polishing. the best you can do is to clean them with rodico.
