PAM 127 "Fiddy" Noob

Recommended Posts

arancini

I'm thinking of dropping some cash on the PAM 127 rep. from Toro.

http://www.torobravo...&product_id=178

Hesitant however after reading a few problems with Crystal distortion on the latest batch of watches.

http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/pcteam-latest-noob-112606.html?p=1102995

Anyone own one of these reps. that they've purchased recently? Any feedback appreciated.

For anyone else wondering or interested, have received word that there are problems with "some" of the Noob factory crystals on the PAM 127Fiddy Rep. and to wait for the new version/model.

Happy Days. Not.

why not just ask Toro to find you one without that issue?

That's a good idea. Might try that. Cheers.

But then again, my understanding is he has no say regarding the batches that are delivered to him.

Just don't want to drop US$400 (inc. postage) for a dodgy crystal

Not quite correct. Toro is one of our Trusted Dealers. I have made similar requests to our TDs before, and they have taken the trouble to pick out a good copy of the watch I want, or else they tell me to stay away. It is why the TDs are so good.

Does this affect 127 only or 217 as well? Is it ok for first time customers to ask Toro to pick one with a good crystal or that will rub him the wrong way?

This issue affects only PAM 127 and we don't know why.

We cannot trust either dealers or maker about if the crystal is correct at this moment. Because they have a big problem with all released current batch. ans, moreover they don't know well the problem.

We wiil have future problems to find and assure the correct purchases of PAM 127

Probably a good idea.

I've been waiting for a month now.

Toro has been excellent though and offered to refund my money if I want to opt out.

The wait continues....

Is it obvious by looking at the watch if there is a problem with crystal?.

If so what is the tell?

Thanks

i have a story where other dealers (mentioned above) were able to source one watch in 3days. Toro was getting me that watch for 5 weeks and finally refunded, so you might wanna check other dealers before getting on his "waiting list" ;)

Surely anything that protrudes out of the case this much is susceptible to damage, no one will ever know that's it's not just carelessness. Get one cus it's pretty nice, but don't go bashing it about.

What say you Greg, Del etc etc
