DIY: Add spingbar to a Sewn-In Buckle

Recommended Posts

okabum

Hi

All of us had a lot of straps, most of them really good, expensive and most important used.

I´m doing this for this reason, I had a lot of straps, and don´t wanna buy one more, I prefer use one old.

Ingredients

- Sewn-In Buckle - mine comes from vikingo99

- cutters - Dealextreme, they are scrap for small uses, but in this case has cut brass very good

- dremel - used for sand, drill and polish

- springbar

- panerai tube - it´s not necesary, but I prefer

Checking if springbar is suitable. I used one for 22mm buckle

Using cutting pliers, it cuts really good, better than a saw

drilling holes - first I use a diamond bit, before drilling

adding tube

springbar and tube ready to mount, it´s not necesary, but I prefer, in this way springbar has less pressure

Thanks okabum.

That's a handy little way to save a few bucks. Nicely done too.
