gioarmani 2 Posted January 7, 2010 Quick reference/pictoral guide to the difference between the new Sea Dweller rep & the Gen. Of course, i didn't buy it, I just picked it up. And here's a little goodie the post-man brought me today... Modded the CGs, lubed & water-proofed it to at least 6 ATMS, replaced the insert & pearl, sized it, polished the bracelet, rounded the edges, etc. Here's a no-frills comparison between the new modded model and the gen SD--gen on top, rep on bottom. Enjoy! Even before the mods, it still wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. I do agree with By-Tor, that the rehaut/crystal/gasket area could use some work. but honestly not disappointing once on the wrist. In my book the rep is excellent and this direct comparison just confirms that I will need the original right next to the rep to tell the difference. Only thing I was wondering about: Is there a crown in the crystal of the Gen? Can't see it on your pictures, and it seems that the visible crown on the Rep may be the easiest tell. gioarmani 2 Posted January 7, 2010 Yes, there is a crown on the gen actually--those made after 2005 or 2006, I believe.
