DSSD Crystal Not Set Correctly

Recommended Posts

watchnut

Hi guys, I have a DSSD that I got from a TD a while back and the crystal isn't set correctly in as much as its about 0.5 mm too high on the 3 o'clock side. The watch is mint apart from this and I know its not a big problem but its there and I know it! Any ideas as to fixing it, I dont have a crystal press but is there anything I can do or do I have to live with it. Cheers in advance.

Many moons ago, I recall some poster noting that he just stood on it and it popped back in. Not making any recommendations here!

careful,

I noticed with a couple of the DSSD cases, the rehaut is too deep and / or the crystal is too thin. The reason the crystals may be off is they're not fully pressed, because fully pressing them seats them too low.

My crystal is like yours.

My watchsmith couldn't fix it, no matter what he tried.

The watch easily passed the waterproof test at 3ATM.

If it's worth it, send it to Wiz for repairs considering you're in the UK.
