Pohoho 0 Posted October 20, 2012 This is my second Omega Railmaster, the first being a 41mm version from WI, which I re-lumed and sold here. Bought this for more luming practice along with a BR01-92. I shall make reference to the 41mm 21J version from Mary. It has a few plus points over the 41mm, which comes in a bracelet. Likes and +++: 1) the crown felt bigger on this and protruded out proudly so it a joy to handle winding the watch up. 2) black leather that came with it is soft and of decent quality. 3) with correct case back, you can't tell it's a rep until someone "opens the hood". 3) fold over clasp was easier to operate compared to a butterfly clasp. 4) better finishing on this piece; area between the lugs are polished and the brushed finishing on the inward slope of the lugs are finer, more befitting a high value watch. 5) I think I got a good movement on this piece. The winding is taut which gives a sense that the movement had really good tolerance. (Or I just got a so-so piece for my first RM). Misses: The lume was especially weak on the indices, fizzles out rather fast. The color looks more yellowish in person so it's a turn off for me. (Had me thinking along pigeon droppings). Also nice not to have the date once in a while too keep things as simple as possible. I have the same, Chris did a relume and I enjoy wearing it, just wish there was a version with a better dial.
