Help! Sinn U1 With ETA 2836 Stopped!

Recommended Posts

razorblade

Bought the watch from Mary & Rochest and it has been rock solid ever since. However it stopped suddenly (while on my wrist). I tried shaking it and also winding it manually, both failed to get it to move.

Does any one has a solution?

Can you get the back off and take a picture? It sounds like perhaps something has come loose and jammed the movement!

Does the rotor rotate round?

There's nothing blocking the hairspring?

If that is a movement holder tab in the bottom right, just underneath the rotor, the screw is still in it and not loose? (so it's like the opposite one in the top left)

Can you handwind it?

yes rotor rotates and a few gears turn when i move the rotor.

i don't see anything blocking the mainspring.

yes the screw is intact and not loose.

i can handwind it with the crown but still the watch doesnt start.

i think i have to send it to a watchsmith to take a look?

I am hoping that CLS/10:10 or Wiz will chime in on this thread soon! :D

Other than that, yes, I think you will need to get in touch with one of them :)
