DannyBoy818 0 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) I was looking through Craigslist here in the states. Someone was selling a brand new Pam111 for $140. I went to take a look at it and bought it. It looks good to me...I might be wrong. I tested the LUME and it is not that great. Please tell me if it was a good deal or not. If theres any flaws or anything that you can tell that doesnt seem right please let me know thanks! the Pam111 Next to my 312 Edited November 2, 2012 by DannyBoy818
Crusader 0 Posted November 2, 2012 First thing I notice is that font isn't correct, letters are are too bold. And the hour markers are a bit too greenish. Looks good overall, but I think you could get a bit better one with the TDs

Ended up buying =)
dalboy 2 Posted November 2, 2012 Avoid spur of the moment decisions...stick to our T/Ds......seen far worse though..!! Dal......
1littlegreen 1 Posted November 2, 2012 Plus side is not having to sweat-out the wait or customs. But still risky Enjoy
powderfreak 0 Posted November 2, 2012 For the price you paid it's okay - the 111s around that pricetag from our TDs are not better imo. Then again it is a rare occasion to see a rep with fair price tag outside of our sales sections
gtwc 1 Posted November 2, 2012 Hour markers seem far too far from edge of dial - looks like this could have been a 40mm dial that has been super-enlarged ! Sorry, looks like a bad buy to me.
James. 4 Posted November 2, 2012 The font actually looks a bit pre-V.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted November 2, 2012 You bought a rep from Craig's list? Obviously at $150 there was no question on what you were buying but it sure seems risky to the seller.

Del 4,539 Posted November 3, 2012 You probably don't want to hear what I think of it........but for $100 more you can get a brand new 005 or such like of much, much higher quality.
genoint 51 Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) Toro's beginner reps look better than that. Edited November 3, 2012 by genoint

It's a risk
BigDee62 0 Posted November 3, 2012 Risky to the seller? Do you mean if they get caught? I don't know seems like a lot of sellers sell reps on cl. It's a risk I was thinking, Not any riskier than selling photocopies of $20 bills for $2 each. But then out of curiosity I had to go look on Craigslist and, sure enough, there's an Omega rep openly being advertised for sale. Right in the midst of all the Nixons. diegosaenz 0 Posted November 3, 2012 The font did it for me, I've checked craigslist for the fun of it. But i would never buy a rep there.

Member X 91 Posted November 5, 2012 Not completely hideous but for just $28 + $10 airmail more, you could have had a 247 Feretti with colourless AR, solid caseback, amazing strap, superlume, highbeat movement... Still, sometimes paying for the experience and having something in your hands to test can be good, so enjoy it and get shopping for your next one!
DannyBoy818 0 Posted November 6, 2012 Thanks for all the opinions! I just sold it. Now back in the market for a new rep. This time I'm going back to our TD's for my purchase.
