popspacket 0 Posted November 7, 2012 I just received an Omega Seamaster today from AmatoryStore. Before the flames begin, I bought the watch before I found this website. The watch itself looks great, has a nice weight and is a very good looking rep. HOWEVER, one minor complaint: the watch just stops running every once in a while (maybe last 5 minutes or less and then the second hand stops in its tracks, although it's on a nice 15 minute run right now). Also, I can't seem to pull out the crown to adjust the date/time. I've enquired about sending it back for a refund and expect to hear back overnight (they are very responsive). In the meantime, is there any type of fix to consider or do I just have a dud??? What's its problem? I've already switched over to Mary as my dealer and am looking forward to losing my life's savings over the next few months.
robznet 0 Posted November 7, 2012 Screw down crown - ie: unscrew it first!
Luthier 1 Posted November 7, 2012 Great looking watch, just doesn't work. Maybe, you should wind it up first? It's OK, mate, we all were flamed once in our life. Now you're in good hands.
robznet 0 Posted November 7, 2012 +25000! But further to my post above, unscrew crown, 1st position is winding, 2nd position is for quick date change, 3rd position is for time change! Great looking watch, just doesn't work. It's OK, mate, we all were flamed once in our life. Now you're in good hands. Very true Luth!
