parisianshut 0 Posted November 14, 2012 Hello all! When i start to look at watches i were not used to wear them. I had a few watches: a seiko from my godfather and a cheap sporty watch. They were enough : one classy for work and one sporty for .... Sports. But i quickly realise that my clients all had super watches : rolex lip tissot ànd sometimes patek and audemars piget. I started to think that i had to express my social status through my watches. I make good money and i travel a lot. To be taken seriously, i felt that i had to be more precise, more expressive with my wrist. That´s how i bought my first swiss watch: a tissot with a 2832-2. Classy simple. I paid 540€ for it one the champs elysee store in paris and i'm really happy with it. I always discover new reflections with this all stainless steel watch beauty. And when i stopped by after buying this one i found the bell and ross. It quickly became an obsession. I searched everywhere on the internet and found this f*cking iparadisiac site. I ordered 3 watches but i was in a trip in morocco at the time. They called me to tell me that my order could not be placed because my visa was from france and i was in morocco ( who thought that they were so scared to be scamed!!! Lol) anyway i continued my searches and found you guys and this marvellous forum of yours that quickly became mine. I read a lot and bought my first rep: a bell and ross brs in ceramic The quality was so nice! But the watch felt a bit small (39mm) so i sold it to a friend. And i ordered two others: a quartz br03-94 and a rolex milgauss 21J Both are great. I chose the br03 for its perfect size for my wrist (42mm) and is robust enough to come with me at the gym. The rollie is nice but i dont wear it much... Why? Because i bought a gmt master 2 from mary not so long ago. This one is so perfect that i wear it often. Every important business meeting is an excuse to wear it. I love it so much! Its my daily with the tissot. I bought a few more after that. A iwc portuguese quartz for my dad and a br01-92 for a friend. I ordered the rwg toolkit last month and started to learn how to service and modify watch. I have a first project with this fossil I wanted to thank all of you to helped me discover this incredible world. You are a bunch of friend i like to read ( even the boobs thread i admit...) please continue to make this place friendly and helpfull. See ya soon!

Crusader 0 Posted November 15, 2012 Nice collection, every watch for diffrent occasion One question though... since B&R has such weird caseback, how do you open it to change battery? I presume it's a quarz chronograph.
parisianshut 0 Posted November 15, 2012 One question though... since B&R has such weird caseback, how do you open it to change battery? I presume it's a quarz chronograph. yeas it's quartz. i dismantled it because the chrono second hand was misaligned unfortunatly no photos taken but i can explain : well you have 4 screws on the front. unscrewed them, then you can take off the top of the case + glass. i did not go further. but my guess is : the dial and hands have to be removed to acces to the movement and remove the crown. i will do it sooner or later to change the battery ... i will make a tuto. THe portofino will look nice too to your collection that's what i thought. ! Nice variety you have there. Keep them comimg. i will ! but i have to stop for a while... the customs are on me... Oh my, all that work for simple battery change. I'll have to consider getting auto or quartz, not so much work with automatic I presume. Please do post some pics when you'll change the battery, I would like to see the proces

parisianshut 0 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) not so much work with automatic I presume. well i guess it's the same... the Bell and ross cases are made in such way that you cannot access the back... an bear in mind that the 03-94 do not exist in automatic ... only quartz exist. Yea, I know what you mean. I ment with automatic you don't have to change the batteries regulary. But you are just as screwed if something goes wrong with automatic movement, same opening prodecure
