PeterPotamus 2 Posted November 25, 2012 What mod? my guess he is talking about the incabloc mod
Luthier 1 Posted November 25, 2012 Incabloc can't be modded. Maybe, only replacing red rubies with blue sapphires.

Raywj 0 Posted November 25, 2012 Can some one explain incabloc? The Incabloc shock protection system is the trade name for a spring-loaded mounting system for the jewel bearings that support the balance wheel in a mechanical watch, to protect the wheel's delicate pivots from damage in the event of physical shock, such as if the watch is dropped. It was invented in 1934 by Swiss engineers Georges Braunschweig and Fritz Marti,at Universal Escapements, Ltd, of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It is manufactured by Incabloc, S.A. Great looking watch. How resistant is the finish to scratches? So far so good, it has a few here and there. Even gens get scratched up, just depends on how much you wear it and how carefull you are. Dear Raywj, Would you mind if I ask you how much did you pay for this? I guess $278 Can you tell me what is the difference between the PAM 111 beginners vs the PAM 111v3 Thanks a lot in advance. Mine would cost you a little bit more than $278. Ziggy serviced the movement and performed the incabloc mod as well. A good friend of mine performed some mods on the CG, ie polishing the edges of the cg and lever as per gen. A little lever reshaping as well, not much needed because its pretty good as is.....but he is a perfectionist.....I cant see the difference LOL....and I am a MACRO whore! As far as the difference between beginners and V3, I'm not sure however I'm sure its enough to buy the V3. The V3 case by itself is worth the added money. Case shape is extremely gen like, SCARY accurate. In addition, the CG shape on the V3 is awesome as well. Hope that helps, and I apologize for not getting back sooner.....holidays and all
Raywj 0 Posted November 25, 2012 Incabloc can't be modded. Maybe, only replacing red rubies with blue sapphires. The incabloc can be modded , it refers to the mounting system for the jewel and not the jewel bearing itself.

FLArch 0 Posted November 28, 2012 Any pics of the box set?
kolchak 17 Posted November 28, 2012 It is the Incabloc mod. The gen uses a Y shaped incabloc, while the reps do not. Its a small detail, but its the first thing I look at on the movement. Do u have before & after pictures? Here is the before picture of the movement via Angus's site: Here is the after, it is in the center of the dagger that touches the swans neck regulator. Sent from outside your window......Hi! I give up .....where's Waldo? Can someone please point out the visual difference from the ink block mod?
Raywj 0 Posted November 28, 2012 I will take a better pic when I get home. Maybe try and put some arrows in there to point it out. It's a small thing to see, but once you see it you can't help but notice it on every PAM rep lol! Sent from outside your window......Hi!

Sent from outside your window......Hi! yes please - the little photo shop arrows or circles are needed. until then I'm guessing the mods name is because after unsuccessfully trying to spot it long enough you end up in a mental ward with a shrink holding up those ink block cards. They know you're a member here if you see various pam reps on every card instead of the usual tits & slits.

This being said, you'd have to remove the watch to be "outted" no? Yes, to see the incabloc you must be able to see the movement. Here is a gen movement with the "Y" incabloc. Here is the Rep movement without.
Scottie 10 Posted December 1, 2012 OK, I definitely see it now. Who did the mod and for how much? I've had my 111 N V3 for 2 weeks and may want to do the same.
kolchak 17 Posted December 1, 2012 Needs a "few" more mods before a rep movements fooling anyone but this is why i prefer a closed case back. If it floats your boat however more power to you. Watch itself looks great.

taukappaepsilon 0 Posted December 3, 2012 (edited) Torro he was great! He answered all my questions and I bought the watch, the box set & a rubber strap. I just bought the same watch and boxset ... can you possibly post a picture of the boxset? Edited December 3, 2012 by taukappaepsilon
acid_luving 0 Posted December 3, 2012 is there anyway i can get the incabloc mod? who will do the job. I am no way a horologist to change parts, but a molecular biologist I can change genes not delicate watch parts.
