arty909 0 Posted December 21, 2008 Am I the only one who appreciates this watch? Granted, I don't own the rep (yet), but there is very little discussion or photos from owners on any of my favorite forums. A gen sold at auction back in April for 54,000 USD. Here's a shot of someone's else's gen- very tasty if I may say: It's a small watch by today's standards at 38mm, but I still get tons of compliments on my 38mm Pre-Daytona: Anybody have any thoughts? Cheers, Arty
AllergyDoc 40 Posted December 21, 2008 Simple, clean lines, similar to an Explorer I. I guess the Milgauss has always had a different second hand. A bit plain, though. It is hard to wear a 38mm watch now.
graman 2 Posted December 21, 2008 Hmmm.... Not a huge Rolex fan, but it is growing on me... Read the big feature in Watchtime last issue...
trailboss99 997 Posted December 21, 2008 At the rate the're incresing in value dad's MG is gunna stay in the back vault for ever. I am never going to afford the insurence to have the damn thing at home Sertiously, even with a solid and well hiden safe haveing it at home puts the insurence bill up by 800 a year, Almost four times what he paid for it new! Stupidly enough it would be the same if I had half a dozen of the same value. Go figger. I like the pre daytona. As AD said, clean. Allmost IWC like. Col. greg_r 83 Posted December 21, 2008 Love the Milgauss - also love the pre-Daytona. Actually prefer it to the later models, to tell the truth.
Demsey 9 Posted December 21, 2008 Not a huge Rolex fan, but it is growing on me... Small wonder, I was going to post; Looks like Graman's Dad's Seamaster. An older gentlemen's watch though I think, like a Railmaster or Air King. Or Dave's RWG Tribute
NFleischer 4,355 Posted December 22, 2008 both are very nice. at least they're alittle bigger than the DJ @ 36mm.

I thought that WAS the old lolcina that we had on RWG1. We started off here with the version from rwg.cc (which still had the hammer), but I replaced it when I found this one... If my memory is failing me (always possible given my advancing years ), then if you can find the correct one, I'll install it. Deal?
Demsey 9 Posted December 22, 2008 Piss off Dems  I like all the above very much and you're makeing me feel old. Well, I do too. We are what we are. Still a long way off from the Railmaster though. For me.
