She works for Weapons Specialists, but now they are just calling themselves Specialists Ltd in NYC. I think it is the only manufacturer insured to make prop weapons for use on city streets and public buildings...like the UN, etc. (at least in the East) She makes weapons for movies and TV mostly. TV shows like Burn Notice and Person of Interest and others I can't recall the names are regulars. The company is pretty amazing and make weaponry for big movies. There are 3 basic types of prop firearms. The rep firearms which are molds filled with soft foam for striking things, like pistol whipping. These are single use props since they break on a single use. There are rubber firearm props for throwing across the floor and whatnot so they don't break on contact and sound effects are added...and the 1:1 reps with modified lower receiver parts they only flash/bang without projectiles. At least that is my understanding. The Brandon Lee incident changed the industry. Interesting stuff. They used totally shitty real ammo, to warm up the guns, before firing the blanks, and once there were not enough gun powder in cartridge to push the bullet out of the barrel, so, it stayed there. Then they reload guns with blanks, and during the shooting the scene, the blank pushed that left bullet right into Brandon's body. Nobody suspected, that there's the bullet in the barrel.
