So today came across to MR site to look at some IWC BPs and found these.

So finally a good version of new (2012) Portofino Chrono.

I was in love with black dial version back in summer but never found a good rep of it. Quartz or 21j existed, and only Silix had 21j with correct black day/date wheels (as per gen). Still it was a 21j with mineral and incorrect subdails....

So now to the current rep.

A7750 28,800pbh.

The dial looks ok at first glance.

Not sure about the hands but on rep it looks flat to me - same as per earlier portofino automatic models. Moreover gen hands seem to be thinner at the end.

Also pushers on gen also seem to be thinner. And the case around the crystal is also thicker on the rep.

The mesh is questionable, and they will charge You 40usd more for it.

So the lack of slenderness in case and hands and DW are the biggest disappointment for me here.

Asked MR if DWs can be changed at factory - the answer was NO.

So the last straw would be ETA wheels on this. My question is - is it direct swap?S MR told he was not sure if it would fit.

Let's hope a solution for this problem will come up and i will definitely will buy a black one :) Now i will just have to sit back and wait for some information ;)
