Cloudy crystal?

Recommended Posts

AS90

Just recieved this Railmaster, not sure if there is moisture under the crystal or bad AR, grease etc.

It is cold out, but the watch has warmed up and is still cloudy, any ideas?

could be any or all of the above.

if it is moisture, open the caseback and stick in a back with those dessicant packs. It should clear it.

If not, you will have to decase the movement and clean it from the inside. I have had do this on some watches. it ain't no thang.

Maybe the glass is dirty? I had similar effect on my watch, it was visible on certain angle.

sometimes its just a crappy hazy crystal, open it up, remove the movement and clean the inside of the crystal with a microfiber cloth, blow it out afterward and put back together, if its still hazy after that its probably a crappy crystal or some kinda buggered up AR

It almost looks like the residue of rodico. +1 to all of the above comments.

If anyone is interested, I removed the movement and cleaned the inside of the crystal. I had to wait for a 0.8mm screw driver to arrive so I could remove the stem. Lovely and clear now...
