How to photograph watches

This shot took me about 10 mins including cleanup on photoshop with a low-end Nikon SLR and a single softened light source.

Great thread and info from everyone. I can't wait to break out the DSLR and take some pics myself.

 

One thing though, where can I find this .. WOW. I doubt that band is stock. The band does make the watch pop

Nice try - you need to do something about the colour temperature of your lighting though as those photos have come out very orange (due, no doubt, to tungsten lighting - try daylight bulbs).

Samsung 5mp cameraphone, a piece of white paper, a cheap desk lamp and a piece of white corex twixt said light and watch...:D

Tip for iPhone photogs... When focusing on a watch, you can hold your finger down on a specific spot (most likely your watch's face) to best suit the aperture.
