Del 4,528 Posted December 20, 2012 I stumbled across this strap from the Watchbandcenter that I thought might work on a blue SOHv2 so I bought it as an experiment! It is a very dark blue leather strap (almost black tbh) with navy blue edges and alligator grain, and it only cost €18! I already had a spare gen Breitling buckle to use with it too. This is the link to it:- http://www.watch-ban...p-Nairobi-.html Website description:- Watch strap "Nairobi" Model No.: MyHeK-LB78 Manufacturer/Brand: MEYHOFER quality strap, from the Professionel collection Suitable for: Breitling buckle and other watches with standard lug ends Material: Genuine calf´s leather, alligator grain, matt; Underside calf´s leather, nubuck Manufacturing process: Cut strap, with painted sides Colour of strap: Night blue uppers; Light underside Strap stitching: Light contrast stitching Strap design: Sporty Lug width: 24 mm Total length without buckle: approx. 20 cm Piece with holes: approx. 12 cm Buckle piece: approx. 8 cm Thickness of strap: approx. 3,1 mm to approx. 7,4 mm, padded Buckle: Buckle made of stainless steel, polished Width of buckle: 20 mm Strap taper: Strap tapers to buckle It's very nicely finished although a little bit stiff so will need some breaking in. I think it works quite well for a change to normal mesh or rubber on the SOHv2 - judge for yourself!

Higs 73 Posted December 20, 2012 Mine's on a (rep) Breitling black leather strap and deployant. I've got a the rep mesh for it too but it only fits me if I've eaten too many pies.
Del 4,528 Posted December 20, 2012 At first glance I thought meh... But upon further review... I like it!!! I was exactly the same when I received the strap and put it on the watch. However, the more I see it the more I think it's quite a good combo - not better than the gen mesh combo obviously (!) but a different option to the normal Ocean Racer rubber strap (which I like a lot btw but gives the watch a more casual style that can sometimes limit when you can wear it). Del 4,528 Posted December 21, 2012 I'm wearing this combo today so will see how it goes.
Pob 73 Posted December 21, 2012 No, not doing it for me! Rubber all the way IMO
greg_r 83 Posted December 21, 2012 Nah, sorry, doesn't work for me. Thinking of trying a blue sailcloth strap from BradyStraps on one of mine, though...
Del 4,528 Posted December 21, 2012 Party poopers! Only joking guys! I probably won't keep the combo long-term as I do like the blue OR rubber strap (the gen mesh is going on the black SOHv2 when it comes back from Wiz) but it's fun to try out something different for a change! Member X 91 Posted December 21, 2012 I wonder what that strap would look like on a Rolex Sub Shark or a modded SOHv2 with Black dial and Blue bezel...
