jozobo 0 Posted December 21, 2012 So, i have a couple of watches on my list for next year one of them is the po 45.5. ive read threads that adjusting the bracelet is a pita. Any guides on it?
Balad1 0 Posted December 21, 2012 I've never had issues with sizing any bracelet. It's all about the right tools in my opinion.
seclark007 11 Posted December 21, 2012 Ballad is correct about the right tools...difficult to do without the pin removal tool. I damn near stabbed myself a number of times....tool makes it easy. I wouldn't attempt it without it..you may regret it
Galy 0 Posted December 21, 2012 I've never had issues with sizing any bracelet. It's all about the right tools in my opinion. Totaly agree. Unscrew with a knife is not a solution, listen Balad1 you need (in this case) the right screw driver.
seclark007 11 Posted December 21, 2012 Respectfully, there are no screws in a PO bracelet...but the pins are a bitch. Get the tool, save yourself some aggro....
Higs 73 Posted December 21, 2012 I've done a PO and a Speedmaster bracelet with just no great drama. I used one of these found that the best way to do it was to push the bracelet down on to the tool rather than the other way round. And once you've got the long pin out and separate the links you have to watch where the insert from the middle link goes.
dalboy 2 Posted December 21, 2012 As said before..right tool for the job makes all the difference....invest in one of these. Do not buy the cheap nasty plastic ones .......waste of time and money.. Dal...
garbear99 0 Posted December 21, 2012 It's easy with the pin removal tool. I had never done anything like removing a link before. I searched here, saw how to do it, and ordered the tool on ebay. When the tool came in, I used it as shown and it worked. Very easy with the proper tool. Just be sure that you push the pin out on the non-slotted side of the pin. P4GTR 0 Posted December 21, 2012 Porikka 45mm planet ocean was the hardest bracelet resize I've ever done. Nothing else comes close.

And once you've got the long pin out and separate the links you have to watch where the insert from the middle link goes. And don't look down at the bracelet while you're doing it or you might lose an eye Seriously though I use a mousepad and push down into the bracelet with body weight. That is, before I got tools making this a 2 second exercise now. ________________ Sent from my mobile device. Please excuse the brevity of this message. BaggyPants 0 Posted December 22, 2012 Do not buy the cheap nasty plastic ones .......waste of time and money.. Must be technique, Dal, because I've used my blue plastic one on everything up to a v5 PO 42 bracelet (which was the most difficult) and a gen Seiko and it worked every time. Never broken a tool head yet. It's about how much pressure to apply and where, I guess. Even used it to counter sink the pins in once they've had the plastic faced hammer treatment to get them in.
