Rolex Milgauss & Pro-hunter Sub - Both 21J from Trusty

Recommended Posts

bmx5045

Greetings All,

Just started getting back into collecting. Picked up my first noob-mariner from Josh about 4 years ago and loved it. The watch kept great time until I left it on the floor of a strip club. (Don't ask.. or do)

Decided I'd get back into it and pick up a few more "entry level" watches.

First up

Black Pro-Hunter Sub - 21J

Pros:

Keeps great time and feels great on my wrist. Get complements at the office constantly.

Cons: (Aside from my horrible photo shooting)

Loud rotar

Some of the black anodizing is off on the band

2nd

Milgauss with Green Crystal

Pros

People are shocked it is a rep and I have had many people ask me to put them in touch with the places I get the watches

Cons

Loud Rotar

%100 Satisfied with my first pick up and will likely pick up a few more higher end movement watches shortly. Picked up a 12 capacity watch box that I must fill up.

It gets the most wrist time. I'd get a little better than a 21J though.

I don't see any reference to the watches being for sale?

The noisy rotor is easily fixed if you are confident enough to tinker , My Milgauss arrived without a rotor but rather than send it back I use it as a hand wind.

Keeps great time but I have to remember to wind it up

Hand wind might be interesting. Not at the tinker level yet but might take a stab at it!

Hi bmx5045, just wondering how much you picked the pro hunter up for and which TD did you get it from?

Any problems so far? I'm after one myself. Thanks

I don't think the Prohunter is actually anodized, as I'm pretty sure you cannot anodize steel, especially to a black color, but rather it is either PVD or DLC coated (probably PVD, as DLC is far more durable, and a more expensive process). Either way, these are both great looking watches.

i don't mind my noisy rotors - i can shake em and hear it so i know it's working. I have an Omega with a silent rotors and spend most of my time tryin to shake it near my ear lol.

Strippers love rollies. But nice snags, I love the pro hunter, I've been toying with the idea of a jaques piccard myself.
