Hello from Scotland!

Hello everyone and a Happy New Year!

Really should have done this waaaay before now (joined the site in September) and have been a "lurker" ever since.

Like most people, my first experience of reps has been from the normal tourist spots such as Bangkok and Canal Street and I'd no idea that there was a difference in the quality of watches available.

It really is amazing the knowledge that's available on this site and I've learnt so much from reading the different threads over the past couple of months, as well as having a good laugh and the occasional cringe as another "noob" asks the "where do I buy?" question and you sit back and wait for the "seasoned" members to reply :gunbandana: .

Crowns, crystals, tubes, lume, ETA's etc, it was all a foreign language at first but gradually it's all starting to make sense and I now realise there really is a difference between a fake watch and a replca watch.

The one downside to joining has been the effect on my wallet and this obsession is costing me a fortune!

Since joining I've picked up a PO v5 from Mary and Rochest, a SOSF, one of Toro's Ebel xmas specials (the Disco with the black face and red hands, missed the Panda :( ) and a Vacheron Constantin from Reg. (I know, "this thread is pointless......")

Now on the hunt for a Tag Pendulum but none of the dealers seem to be able to get them anymore, which is probably just a well.

The site has really opened my eyes to many different brands available and not just the usual staple of Rolex and Tag's that everyone starts with, although, and I'm sorry but, I just don't get PAM's!

Great site and keep up the good work!

Thanks to everyone for the welcomes! :)

Already tried WI, MR and Timeshops for the Pendulum and all replied immediately but with no luck.

Welcome from another Scot, looks like we are trying to take over, quite a few of us here.

Keep us posted with your watches, and pics are a welcome addition.
