I have a PAM 111h with gen ETA 6497, recently it has stopped working although a little tap on the side of the case and she fires up again only to stop seconds later. What say all of you? Service required or is it something else? Thanks guys for taking the time to read.....P.

Sounds like it needs a service, yes. If it's an asian movement, though, it might be cheaper to replace - they're only around $30

Take off the back and check the screws on all the bridges. Particularly the one that holds the balance wheel.

Report back if it works.

Are you EU based? Send it to Francisco or Domi for servicing.

greeting,

is what you can say to me if your movement stops slowly or shortly?

otherwise try to disarm the spring not to put the clockwork anymore in tension and look if everything wheels are free.

excuse me for my English very bad

That is good advice there... I once had a problem like this with a 6497 and completely released all the tension in the mainspring and it worked fine after that. Seems like the mainspring was bound. At least it's worth a try.

the clockwork can jam with the pressure of the spring and a game of functioning in the too important clockwork, can block the clockwork, it can be also a lack of oil (dry jewel) poor rubbings of axles, a legere drips from oil with a peak oil am enough for making retort movement;

I espere have you help!!

see you soon

;):rofl:
