Pohoho 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Finally crazy week one of January is over. Time for hobby. First project of the year is a lume job for my son's $6 AP diver - All Plastic, Ice Rep diver watch. A late morning in the shade shot, after 30 secs under fluorescence light: Very impressive, my son is thrilled! Some interesting points discovered during the lumping: 1) the number indices are just stickered on. They came loosed while I was pushing the lume slurry into the recess to keep the stainless steel perimeter so ended up covering them as a form of plaster on. 2) had some lume left so lumed up the numbers on the bezel free hand, surprising the lume adhere quite obediently to the numbers and dashes. Probably the lack of blue paint in the area provided a more adhesive surface. And because of the high contrast of the blue and stainless surfaces, the lume looks very straight even though in actual fact it over runs here and there. What a good start for the year!
