I had a quiet afternoon today so I decided to disassemble the keyless works on a 2824 movement and take a few pics while doing it. Part 2, reassembling the keyless works will follow later.   Thanks RWG.   Arrows point to the motion cover and screw to be removed first.   Next to be removed is the intermediate wheel.   Here is a close-up of the keyless works cover and the screw to be removed.   Cover removed.   Try to pay attention to how each part sits in the watch...and next remove the clutch return lever.   We now have 4 parts left: the "set lever" "intermediate wheel arm" "the clutch" and the "winding pinion"   Now the set lever is removed.   Lift out the intermediate wheel arm.   There is only 2 parts left now. On the left the clutch, and the winding pinion on the right. Lift out both.   Now with all the keyless parts removed this is what is looks like.   Did you notice the little part poking through in the last photo? That is the heel end of the hack lever that sits in the groove of the clutch. When the stem is pulled out, the clutch moves this and it causes the watch to hack...arrow below pointing hack lever.   One final pic of all the keyless parts in the order of removal.
