Uddind 0 Posted March 19, 2013 I was just about to pull the trigger on this then saw that the gen has a see through dial in which you can see the movement also the gen has black screws on the side rather than silver . but for $600 its better than paying $75,000 for the gen
Motoman4540 0 Posted April 4, 2013 The gen currently goes for about $50K in titanium on Chrono24. But for a small fortune, you can get the top plate mod and you will have an "almost gen" rep! Not a bad deal, IMHO for 2% of a gen. Plus, there are 1,000 gens in the world. How likely is it that most people will have even seen one in real life, much less own one? The folks here know a heck of a lot more about the gen/rep differences than 90% of the people who own or are familiar with AP's. I have several friends that have various AP's and have no idea that mine are reps.

And I have friends who are wearing AP, I do not dare to wear my ROO, ltd Ed , Marcus RG when I am meeting em, another reason would be it's a limited to 50 copies and it cost abt $55k (someone is selling gen online). wouldn't gen AP owners do a search on the difference between rep or gen watch? Or wouldn't the owner know that something is different with their gen as the rep's DW being too right, or the chorno pusher is too flat (gen is rounded)?
