Hi guys,

Ive bought a Panerai Luminor Power Reserve, however looking to replace the strap that came with it as im not too keen on rubber.

Wheres best for varied priced straps to fit it... 44mm so presume its a 24mm strap thats needed

Cheers

Maybe it's just me (but I suspect not) but I've come to the point where watches are nice enough but the straps are >51% of the 'hobby'.

I bought a couple from Panatime and Strapcode.com. A vintage cowhide for my PAM 390 DLC and a grey python for my Radiomir Black seal with a black DlC buckle. Thy bith should be delivered today.. Can't wait. Both places were great to deal with transactions were easy...panatime has a customer service number and you can talk to people so it helps cause they have some specials that might not be on their website.

Also, always get extra spring bars and or lug screws when you do buy straps , found out the hard way. :-))

I've got it from next door and am very pleased with it - superb for the money.

It is what I'd expect an Asso to be - soft and smooth and with a 'nap' so the leather is quite dark but as it bends it opens up and lightens. It marks quite easily but marks disappear when rubbed. The deployment is nice and crisp, fastens well.

The only criticism is that it's quite short. It's a standard length for a Pam strap, I think (115/75mm) but if you're wrist is any bigger than mine (19cm) it will be too short depending on how you like your straps to wear. I don't really need the second keeper and may remove it.

Here are a few rough and ready pics in poor light....

+ 1, and with a good strap, a larger watch can suit a smaller wrist.

Having thought about this I think I'm going to have a go at getting either a black strap of some sort or a very very dark brown... Anyone got any ideas for this?
