Skrimps 3 Posted February 5, 2013 I ended up buying a Shmidt-Rubin 1911 carbine leather ammo pouch and turning it into a strap. Not that big of a fan of it on my 390 but was just using it for testing purposes. What do you think? Here is the ammo pouch before.

Skrimps 3 Posted February 5, 2013 Ended up going back and adding some stitching to it to help hold it secure.
Wriggles 12 Posted February 5, 2013 Personally liked it more without the stitching, haven't seen too many without stitches so found it quite nice. Still though with or without it's a lovely strap.
JohnPilot 1 Posted February 5, 2013 Look good. On PAM straps a little diy touch does not hurt.
Skrimps 3 Posted February 5, 2013 Personally liked it more without the stitching, haven't seen too many without stitches so found it quite nice. Still though with or without it's a lovely strap. Was going to leave the stitching off but the glue was not holding that solid on it. When I went through and skived it I ended up not doing that even of a job so the bond was not that secure. I need to find a really good way to skive besides just doing it by hand.
