Del 4,463 Posted April 15, 2013 Is it just me/the pics or is the rubber coating on the bezel thicker on the gen making the numbers and markings look sunk? On the rep its flush, same as on my SOC II rep. I don't think there is anything in it. Del, how durable is the Asian ETA in this (damn-close) rep? Would you suggest that the premium is worth it for Swiss ETA/SW mov't? It's not my rep, I own the gen. However, Asian clone ETA movements are generally very good. brentj516 0 Posted April 15, 2013 Thanks, now I want one and can't afford it. Oh well at least I have something to look forward to in the future. Great post by the way!
sleepsus 0 Posted April 15, 2013 this will definitely remain on my list, I just got the Abyss Yellow SOC II and I love everything about it. Thanks for the pictorial Del, the SO44 will surely not disappoint! I do hope by the time my wallet recovers a V2 is out with an improved dial... italiano17771 0 Posted April 19, 2013 Outstanding pics and review. Mine showed up yesterday and I have to admit that it is one of the best reps I've ever owned. It is one of the few reps I've held that had that "GENUINE" feel. It's an amazing watch. Thanks for the review!
allyourbase 0 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) Got the chrono and now, thanks to this thread and awesome pics, this one's on my shortlist too *sigh* Edited April 19, 2013 by allyourbase
mianos 0 Posted April 23, 2013 I just got mine. Interestingly the the bracelet pins are higher and the writing on the clasp is finer.

deathnote 0 Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) The only two tells I could see where the length of the stem on the rep was longer and the "Breitling 1884" writing on the clasp was not as crisp. Did anyone see any others? Thanks for the post Del! The yellow colour of the seconds hand on the gen is brighter and the colour and font are a little off for superocean on the dial Edited May 14, 2013 by deathnote

mianos 0 Posted May 19, 2013 If you don't want to have a heavy watch then this one is not for you. That said, as my wife says, it's a very manly watch.
romford-boy 0 Posted May 19, 2013 Incredible just how good that looks
DR3M3L 4 Posted May 19, 2013 I think it's not that heavy... Ofcourse it's heavier then a 42mm watch, but the most 44mm wachtes with bracelet have the same weight..
JohnPilot 1 Posted May 19, 2013 I really need a comparison like this to see some differences between gen and rep. In presence of only one of this couple impossible to tell. Great pics as usual Del.
