boneyjr 1 Posted February 25, 2013 I picked this up recently, and I am very pleased with the purchase. At 46mm, It has a solid presence but isn't too overwhelming on the wrist. It wasn't long after this that I made purchase of a Vac 3717. Can't wait for that to arrive!
Luthier 1 Posted February 25, 2013 Is it fake PR model?

Jose Betancur 0 Posted February 25, 2013 CONGRATS!! i love that IWC watch. Looks good on your wrist! **Wich one is more accurate..the one with fake pr? Or the one with?
boneyjr 1 Posted February 25, 2013 Is it fake PR model? yes.. this is the faux PR. I really didn't see a working PR as being crucial.

Luthier 1 Posted February 25, 2013 Each on it's own, mate. Watch looks very, very good, indeed! But for me - fake PR is a deal breaker.

stunnaon 0 Posted February 25, 2013 Each on it's own, mate. Watch looks very, very good, indeed! But for me - fake PR is a deal breaker. I agree - I remember when I bought a rep from a crappy dealer once - he told me all the dials were functional, but turns out one of them wasn't. Needless to say, I barely wear it... DG335 0 Posted February 25, 2013 Lovely look to the watch but I agree the non working PR would continually annoy me

Lmao! haha... well in any event, I am not worried about the PR. Because it was my first IWC, I wanted this as a starter watch, and I am very pleased indeed. Besides, I have a fully modded Vac 3717 on its way any day now!
Heisenberg 0 Posted February 25, 2013 Aren't the faux PR models more accurate looking? I am waiting for QC pics for same model. I looked at all options and this seemed best to me.
DarkGlass 83 Posted February 25, 2013 In my very limited exp of having both; the faux PR is a much better rep, mine came orgionally from WI and traded to Aston. The other....well let's just say it wasn't great. Yours mate looks super, I knew I should have kept mine !
Luthier 1 Posted February 25, 2013 Yes, they are 2% more accurate, but dead subdial is no-no for me. But again - it's my personal opinion.
KeNnY 29 Posted February 25, 2013 Doesn't the faux power reserve have movement without the button for the date progress on the side what is more accurate ?
stunnaon 0 Posted February 25, 2013 Aren't the faux PR models more accurate looking? I am waiting for QC pics for same model. I looked at all options and this seemed best to me. I bought a IWC Portofino with a working power reserve dial. I noticed later on that the 12 and 6 markings were not at all accurate...BUT...i would still accept a few flaws rather than have a faux PR (I'm probably going to fix the markings on my own as soon as I find some time)... DarkGlass 83 Posted February 25, 2013 Yes, they are 2% more accurate, but dead subdial is no-no for me. But again - it's my personal opinion. Come on Luth, that sunken DW that's currently on the real PR models is shit and looks awful

Luthier 1 Posted February 25, 2013 Depend on the movement. If it's genuine Seagull - there is the button, and it's designed with power reserve module. If it's modified DG-2813 - I'd stay away from such a watch, doesn't matter, how good it looks. Here's mine with Seagull: PR subdial is in correct place, by the way.
