P4GTR 0 Posted February 28, 2013 Movado hater, checking in. Never liked Movado, all of the artistic and engineering allure of a fine timepiece are distinctly missing from them. The dial is bare, the movements are mostly quartz. About the only ingenious thing they ever did was whatever marketing they did in the 80's that kept them so well known. They are a gimmick watch. They had one decent design idea (putting nothing but a diamond on a bare dial) and have somehow stayed in business all of this time. That's my 2c, YMMV. I can't complain, yet I hardly wear it. Yup. I bought one in Jamaica 2 years ago. Spur of the moment. Don't know the model but it's the plain face with diamond and it is a thin as it can be. 964boy 54 Posted February 28, 2013 Movados don't seem to be very popular here or given any interest, but I see a lot of them at work and in public and I cannot see why people would buy one. The first time I saw one i thought it was a $50 watch, it looks like something a wannabe gangster 13 year old would wear. Is it just me, or do you guys hate them too?
