stolikat 1 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) Happens to the best of us. I got rick rolled and thought I was getting a steal from someone on anther forum. Bought a 187 with a busted date pusher. It wound out to be a lame duck. Watch out when doing the international deals. Edited March 1, 2013 by stolikat
Del 4,462 Posted March 1, 2013 Sorry you got caught. However, I think warning people about doing "international deals" is a rather unhelpful comment. Many of us have enjoyed many successful transactions with members living in a different country.

Corv99 2 Posted March 1, 2013 It's a bummer mate... But Dels right I got stiffed of an active VIP on another forum, but that was part of his elaborate set up! On other side most of my deals are international , including a guy who I was convinced due to lack of contact was doing me over, I turned out to be wrong! He was a great guy.... It's part of our risk here!
DG335 0 Posted March 1, 2013 Agree, international deals are what drive the whole experience. I bought a great Pam from a senior contributor here from long distance and it didn't work when it arrived. He was superb about offering help..

stolikat 1 Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) Well I have had several good transactions with others internationally but this one highlights the potential headaches involved. The guy says that he can have his watchsmith in Thailand do the repairs but it will cost me $20-30 to ship it back. If it was a CONUS deal priority mail is $5.
