Rolexwatchman 0 Posted March 9, 2013 Starting to have many watches... Also getting misc genuin items for the watches to complete collection many it too expensive. Im thinking getting a nice winders or box... But wanna hear others opinions on you prefer Poll away!
RichardMiami 4 Posted March 9, 2013 Winders are generally pointless. If you wear your watches regularly, they will get enough use to keep them in good shape. If you don't wear them fairly often, it doesn't matter, just set them when you put them on. If you can't be bothered setting them - buy quartz watches. I had a large winder (wound 8 at once) nice wooden finish, etc. I ended up giving it away. A nice watchbox is better.

razorblade 0 Posted March 9, 2013 I have a winder and a box, both are full and the rep bug is still strong. It really depends on you. I keep my rotation watches in the winder, makes it easier to switch between watches. Rolexwatchman 0 Posted March 9, 2013 It's pity... I might ending up getting an Peli case, not sure

conx 0 Posted March 9, 2013 Winders are too bulky and you quickly have more watches than winding slots.

Rolexwatchman 0 Posted March 9, 2013 It's hard to find decent box without flaws... Bad pillow that doesnt support watch, fitted is too near each other and so on..
Mystery Shopper 5,887 Posted March 10, 2013 I only really use the winder with automatics. Quartz need little adjustment and the hand winds need to be hand wound. Other than that, my winder is handy storage- I wouldn't buy an additional one- just stick with watch boxes from here.
1littlegreen 1 Posted March 10, 2013 There are a few (3) dealers here that have many nice pieces. Depending where you are located EU/UK/US, I'm sure you can find something that fits the bill. http://www.acetimer.com/ http://www.watch-winder.co.uk/ http://www.uhrmacherbedarf24.de/ Then there is also Amazon and ebay. Take the measurements of your largest watch in width, and add 5mm. Then find a box/winder with slots close to that size. Good luck with your quest.

I vote for winder, you can switch it on and off as you like and if buying a wall mounted it will take "no place" I have bought some from this seller in Germany, sometimes you can buy very cheap on the Ebay auctions. I have this model and a winder box for 6+12? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Uhrenbeweger-Uhrenvitrine-fur-24-Uhren-aus-Wurzelholz-NEU-WatchWinder-NEW-/400339335877?pt=DE_Mode_Accessoires_Uhren_Schmuck_Uhrenk%C3%A4sten&hash=item5d36157ac5
