johnl 0 Posted March 26, 2013 Just ordered a no date sub from MR. Can't wait til it arrives..QC pics should come soon. Since finding RWG I am now addicted... Was thinking about also ordering a GMT II from MR. Can anyone share their experience with this watch? Considering the case and the hands, I was thinking that the watch should be close to gen. (Closer than the sub anyway.) Can anyone attest to this? As always, your help and guidance is appreciated.....and I blame you all for this very expensive hobby that I now have. ticktickboom 0 Posted March 26, 2013 I'm quite fond of the root-beer myself...been considering it also.
johnl 0 Posted March 26, 2013 I've been looking but can't find a lot of info surrounding the GMT's that the TD's offer. I like that fact that it's not as popular as the sub.

P4GTR 0 Posted March 26, 2013 you talking about the GMTIIC, or old style?
746_heuer 0 Posted March 26, 2013 That comparison is great, BUT, my research shows that the Noobfactory GMTc that MR or Mary can get you has been improved, and now has a really close case and hands, dial is good to my eyes (not to everyones'). I'd love to have one but as a 21 year old I'd look like a jerk with a Rolex. I might get a sterile one though. 1littlegreen 1 Posted March 26, 2013 That comparison used a GEN GMTIIc. That comparison was done LESS than a month ago. The links you used are from March and September 2012. What has changed in a month?

I can't know when the Noob GMT from the comparison was bought, but it's clearly different (worse) than the one in Mary's photos. Upgrade? Quality control issues? I don't care, they are not identical. 1littlegreen 1 Posted March 26, 2013 That was the point of the exercise Lightgeek performed. Over time, sometimes quality control becomes an issue. That is the purpose of the QC pics. I directed you to the guide so that you could have something to compare and make an informed decision. Personally, I had a GMTIIc from Mary and loved it. Would I buy another one? Yes, fair and decent rep. Honestly there is no top rep of this watch. Not like others. noob maker GMT II C, solid rep for the price What he said

Now if you "don't care" then we certainly have no incentive to help. EDIT: I got them January 2013.
