Thought I'd introduce myself rather than just keep lurking... :nana:

Been looking for a good Longines rep for a while now, always been nervous about placing an order at some random web-site.

Anyhow, having looked through you trusted dealer site I have placed an order with House of Souvenirs for a Longines Spirit.

http://www.houseofsouvenirs.com/longines/longines_001.htm

I've had an automated response but no invoice yet, so hoping all's well!

Have any of you chaps purchase this watch before, any comments?

Interesting choice for a first rep - it's always nice to see something a bit different from the usual Rolex submariners etc :nana:

I've not seen one of these in person, but from the photos it looks like a very attractive watch - especially for such a low price!

As far as the invoice goes, it may be almost immediate, but it can equally take a couple of days - Lawrence will only invoice you once he's sure he can supply the watch you're after (occasionally these things are out of stock).

You've picked a great dealer to start with - Lawrence is one of the nicest guys in the business.

Post pics and a review when you get it!

Welcome to RWG! :AT:

Hey there, welcome to RWG. Nice choice of watch.

Anyone know if that is available with working chronos?

Welcome to the forum Nelson. Good looking watch but I'm not big on the faux chrono's.

You really can't go wrong at that price, though.

ah - sorry to hear that. I figured you'd seen the 'functional day and date subdials' listed. Anyhow, nope you won't get working chronos at that price unless it's quartz. $170 and up if you want an auto with working chronos (Asian 7750 movement).

Lawrence won't mind if you want to change your mind, though - just drop him an email.

Live and learn and all that, not really bothered, just looking for a quality looking/built watch. Not looking to try and pass off as gen.

Ordered Saturday, not heard from him yet...

He doesn't necessarily respond to emails over the weekend - and he won't have started trying to source your watch until today. You'll probably hear from him sometime in the next 48 hours, if my own past experience is anything to go by. Don't worry though - he's not the quickest, but he looks after his customers. On average the whole process from ordering to receiving watch (at least here in the UK) takes 10-14 days.

start with 44 mm like the pam 111. Maybe a homage at getat just to make sure. The price is great and you would be able to sell it quickly here if you did not like it.
