simonbolivar 1 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) I have a strap being made for my PAM 177 which is currently clearing customs at JFK. The strap maker suggests 135/85 for my 7.5 inch wrist. This seems long to me, as I do not want a lot of extra strap after the buckle, I think this may look sloppy. I was thinking 130/80 might be better, and use only the first loop. I did a quick search but did not see a sticky on this topic... Anyone have any experience to share? Edited April 2, 2013 by simonbolivar
BaggyPants 0 Posted April 2, 2013 With a 130/85 asso strap, I have only 20mm sticking out from under just the first keeper. I actually took the second keeper off all together, because there is not enough strap to go under it and look good. I have an 8 inch wrist. So, on your 7.5 inch wrist, there would be about 32mm after the first keeper on my 130/85 strap, and 37mm on your 135/85 strap.
ALE7575 24 Posted April 2, 2013 Read this: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/reference-pam-strap-111878.html I think 125/85 would be a good option if the strap is not very thick 135/85 would be appropriate just for a very thick strap of more 5mm ALE

HeavyKrush 16 Posted April 3, 2013 Most of my straps are 120/80 on a 7.25" wrist...
simonbolivar 1 Posted April 3, 2013 Baggy/Heavy: Thanks both for the examples... I decided to go with 130/80 and think that should be a good balance without too much extra strap showing. Ordered a Caitlin 2 from Peter Gunny, which will be going on my PAM177 (thanks to Del for the inspiration) . It will be a few weeks, but will post pics once I receive. Phizzy 0 Posted October 3, 2014 Anything more than 80mm on the short side and its likely the buckle will sit too far round the wrist. You should be good with the size you went for.
