DG335 0 Posted April 8, 2013 Whilst these 2 are not reps, they are a really nice alternative to many expensive Gens and worthy of a small review. First Up : Poljot Aviator II Chronograph 5002N 40mm brushed stainless steel case Black dial and green lume Saphire glass and screwed and decorated back Movement : Poljot Valjoux 31681 25J, 21600bph and 48hr power reserve This watch is produced by the factory in Moscow with the same equipment that was purchased from the Swiss in the 1970s. With the rush to quartz watches the Swiss began to sell off the old equipment and this lot was snapped up by the Russians. Nice chrono, much smaller on the wrist than most of my current collection but doesn't feel insignificant. Strap is a soft leather and feels good on the wrist. 500 pieces made only Second Up : Poljot Moscow Classic Aeronavigator Alarm 45mm brushed stainless steel case (50mm with crown) Black dial and white lume Mineral glass and screwed and decorated back Movement : Poljot Valjoux 2612.1 18J, 18000 bph and 40hr power reserve 500 pieces made only Same manufacturing as Aviator II with leather strap. Feels a lot bigger on the wrist and the alarm is a unique feature vs watches on the market. It gives a rather rattly high pitched noise when going off. Looks like accuracy is best around +/- 20 secs/day Great pair of watches and reasonably priced. Hope that was of interest
