venusbloo 0 Posted April 15, 2010 Being new to the homage and replica scene, could someone tell me how UK customs view these watches? If they see your Sub replica for instance, are they gonna charge you a few hundred £s in vat? Or confiscate it for not being genuine? Thanks in advance. greg_r 83 Posted April 15, 2010 We Brits are lucky. UK customs do not care about replica watches, so long as you're not bringing them through in quantity. I've brought over 40 watches in over the last couple of years and not had a single issue.
oscarmadfish 0 Posted April 15, 2010 never had an issue either from about 30 over the last couple of years
venusbloo 0 Posted April 15, 2010 Thanks for the replies, last thing I want is to buy a watch for £50 and then customs to think it's real and slap £250 vat on top of it :P
greg_r 83 Posted April 15, 2010 Nope - no worries on that score.
dmisgod 0 Posted April 15, 2010 worst case scenerio is that the charge you VAT according to the real price you paid the dealer.
sconehead 5 Posted April 15, 2010 Never had a watch seized, posty has pinched/lost a couple, not UK customs though. By the way, if you track the package and it says 'awaiting customs charging' don't panic...it means it's not through the process yet, 'tis all...
