boneyjr 1 Posted April 26, 2013 I finally took receipt of my Vac modded IWC 3717 yesterday. The watch itself is beautiful. Although at 42mm it is a bit smaller than I am used to, it is an awesome all purpose timepiece. Vac completely serviced the movement and lumed the hands. At present, the watch is running about +10sec a day. Not terrible. As expected, Vac's work is wonderful. The watch is beautiful. My only suggestion to Vac is that he be a little more honest with regarding his turn around time. Those of us that have been around the rep world understand that patience is not a virtue, it's a requirement. So be honest. Don't say two weeks and have your buyer wait more than two months. Just bad form. But in the end, no harm no foul. Full mods: AR Vac superlume Movement regulated + service Updated DW

guami007 0 Posted April 26, 2013 Stunning watch. This is one that I have had my eyes on for quite some time and will hopefully acquire one day. As far as turn-around time, this is (in my experience) a prevalent phenomenon in this game...regardless of whether it's reps or gens. I'm not saying it's acceptable to rope someone along like that and do agree that full disclosure would be best. Full disclosure by all would ultimately hit the reset button with people having to wait a little longer. I had a terrible experience with a modder/watchsmith where I was roped along for about 6 months when the turn around promised was about 2 months. Anywho, nice grab. boneyjr 1 Posted April 26, 2013 Yea -- I think that honesty, in most situations, is the best policy. As a business practice, it makes no sense to mislead your customers.

Lancaster 0 Posted March 5, 2014 After an hour of searching for the mysterious Vac, all I find are posts of those who've had work done by him. He doesn't really exist, right? Is this an inside thing, like snipe hunting?
