Guys,

I have not seen a Lava review so here goes:

AP ROO 'Lava' 44mm PVD Chronograph - Special Edition 99 Pieces - Hourglass Trading Micro Edition

The genuine; yours for a paltry 32-37K USD.

Limited edition 99 pieces made.

This one is on sale at Chrono 24 currently:

Another gen here but the colours look different to the first; numbers and index are v similar. On the first one the numbers and hands are definitely darker. This one is going for 41.8K SGD.

And the rep: PVD, A7750 28,800 VPH. It measures as a 42mm dial (mine was advertised as 44mm), 15.5mm thick.

The reps numbers & hands are lighter than the index close up in this shoot; however on the wrist I cannot see the difference.

Crown and chrono pushers :

Not much on the other side except I have to tighten up one of the screws!

Datewheel & font look good to my untutored eyes. This one really highlights the colour difference.

The back which looks very close to gen. Hour Glass Special Edition

The single deployant clasp can only be described as adequate at best.

Buckle

Strap is ok but needs to be replace with something of much better quality.

Another full frontal

and a wristy

No lume shot as it is nonexistent.

I think its a gorgeous watch and everything works fine with it so far.

I am equally sure some will hate it.

Should sell well in Holland...

Thanks for sharing some real life pics of the Lava

It is high on my wish list as next AP with AR and aftermarket hornback.

I like that orange and black theme very much, although the Volcano is the more popular one around.

James.

I dislike the bright orange vs the PVD but can understand the attraction. Nice, just get a new strap.

Quite frankly, after the introduction of the End of Days (almost 7 years ago)......I never saw the attraction in multiple Smartie / M&M coloured dials....orange was effectively covered by the Volcano...blue by the Montauk.....anything else is just frippery to satisfy the demands of ADHD kindergartners :B):
