mbjoer 0 Posted April 21, 2010 My thoughts on gold and diamonds is that they are both nice materials when used in the right place. Diamonds strictly only on womens watches. On men (especially older ones) they look horrible. Gold is great on dress watches, not on utility watches. So no gold on Rolex. It looks as good as a gold plated tractor. But find the right dress watch and wear it under the right circumstances, then it can look really good. Just make sure you are the right person to wear it. rc42 0 Posted April 21, 2010 I had a rep FG sub which I liked wearing but as soon as the first bits of steel started showing through the plating on the bracelet I just couldn't wear it anymore, I'm still looking for the right strap for it but can't find anything with the right feel or look. I guess my white dial VCO will be the closest I get to bling for a while.
sconehead 5 Posted April 21, 2010 This is probably the blingiest watch I own, arrived last week...must do a wristshot soon...
rc42 0 Posted April 21, 2010 Actually, if you consider 'bling' as something that gets your watch noticed by others even if they're not into watches. Then try wearing this one and take a trip to the nearest airport

Luthier 1 Posted April 22, 2010 DayDate and DayJust - ok in FG, Tona and Sub - only TT, but no way FG on other Rolexes. And it's really funny to see diamonds on Breitligs, c'mon, guys... it's women's things.
