NFleischer 4,355 Posted April 20, 2010 ok guys, what's the current opinion? are these movements reliable or are they problematic like most sec @6 or sec@12 A7750's. i've started to get an itch for one- resisted all these years, but i hate to spend $500-600 for a watch that dies in a month. they are pretty! Luthier 1 Posted April 20, 2010 Why don't you get a quartz? 100% reliable, who cares it's a quartz? And cost 5 times less. I won't buy any mechanical mov't with seconds @6 or @12.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted April 20, 2010 hmm, looks nice. mary can get a sec@9 for like $250. maybe a good compromise too.

greg_r 81 Posted April 21, 2010 secs@12 is more reliable than sec@6, but can still be flaky. Personally I'd go secs@9 if available, as you've said. I also agree with Luthier, though - there are some damned good quartz ROOs around these days.
