I have been through the same choice process, my short list expanded, then I sent a lot of time looking at various sites for pictures and took into consideration my other watch. I finalised on a different Panarai than my first short list 029, 118, and 212. I finally settled on an 061 as the dark case and tobacco dial pipped it even though I like the modern sandwich dials.

 

I was in a shop yesterday and looked at some real Panarai's I am not sure the decision would have been any easier !

If you decide on the 29, be careful and pick the Swiss movement version. The Asian movement they use is not the correct one for the GMT function, so they mod it to work, but it has a high failure rate because of that.

Except for the awesome dial on the 29, the Fiddy is the winner in every other aspect.
