It's my Gen Tag Heuer parts which were set from Malaysia, and have arrived in Vantaa, Finland, which is normal, but I've not come across the status, Package available for clearance. SSTEEL 0 Posted May 10, 2013 Oh boy, still has the same status, so contacted a friend of mine who is a manager at Fedex. He has stated after checking up on my AWB, the customs here in Finland want to check contents, and will be opening the package. He requested my email, and phone number, and is trying to get it released for me. Nerve-wracking moment right now.
SSTEEL 0 Posted May 10, 2013 Ok, update: I'm now told to expect a phone call from Customs, and will need to answer some specific questions. As to what these will be, I will update this thread once done so to help anyone else who may have to experience this procedure with their fedex package/s. SSTEEL 0 Posted May 10, 2013 Tell a lie lol, just got this email from Fedex. Dear Michael, As per our conversation on the phone. I gave Your SSN to our clearance department, and they will continue with the clearance. Duties and taxes will be around 24€, plus Advancement Fee 2.50% of duties and taxes with a minimum of € 10.50 whichever is greater. Have a nice weekend! Regards, Terhi Not too bad considering. Very low tax and duty for $1400 worth of merch. I wonder would it have been as low if it was a complete working watch worth the same! Have fun with your build, and don't forget to post the result!
