killgarh 0 Posted April 23, 2010 Hi all, After 4 weeks of waiting my Robert's DSSD (I used standard shipping) I finally received the package...EMPTY... I wrote to Robert and he answered really fast and with him I could check on stamp that letter weight was 230gr exiting Thailand and something like 30gr arriving at my door I live in Argentina and I will NEVER use standard shipping anymore...so easy for this kind of corrupted country for custom agent or postman to open letter and steal what's inside... I spent the last two weeks thinking about the watch each day, when I saw the letter I was so excited until I got it in my hands and feel the lightness of it !!! Hope this can save others from living the same experience.

greg_r 81 Posted April 23, 2010 Damn. Sorry to hear that Unfortunately it's something that can happen in any country - and not just with watches. We had a problem with a thief in our local sorting office a few years ago and a bunch of stuff went missing...

Member X 91 Posted April 23, 2010 EMS is insured though, isn't it? Although what would you put on a claim form... ?
KBH 7 Posted April 23, 2010 At least EMS is computer tracked throughout the system and has to be signed for. I would never want another shipped in a cardboard envelope like Robert uses. The last one I got, the envelope was partially opened and I could stick my hand inside when I pulled it out of the mailbox. Luckily, the watch was still inside, which really surprised me. It could have just fallen out it the mailman held it wrong.
