using the chrono

Ive seen several post where people have said "I know I shouldn't use the chronometer but I couldn't help but to try it" is there an issue where this will mess up the watch movement and why?

On a really basic level.

Cheap movement=a much higher probability of it wearing out and dying on you.

More expensive movement=a lesser probability of it wearing out and dying on you.

also other things like the accuracy over time... Although, i wouldn`t think that many reps have supreme accuracy. I see them more as novelty complications. They are rarely used. If you really needed a accurate chrono. Use your phone. LOL

Actually that's a very simplistic and not necessarily accurate statement.

Without knowing the movement in your watch, I am guessing it's an Asian 7750

I use mine a lot, as long as you obey the rules of care & feeding of the 7750 all is good.

Those rules apply equally to the gen Swiss ones BTW.
