Not really addicted but I have the Seiko5 and was thinking of the Orange Monster. I must have bought about 10 of them as gifts too.

They have crazy online sales- $60-70 for many. The 5 was a bargain @ $140!

Must say I've been on the Seiko train lately!

Purchased a SKX007 last week and it hasn't left my wrist, it's keeping great time too. I think my next will be the FF homage.. Mmmm

Got a few, but luckily it never reached the addicted stage and kept it in check. Orange monster is near top of my keeper list, but I would say snagging this rare 40th Anniversary edition in a trade is one of my best Seiko acquisitions, as well as a favorite weekend wearer. :D

Yup, like 'em a lot. Black Monster continues to dog me, will have to buy one soon. The FFF mod is also pretty compelling.

I'd recommend you pick up a black monster too. And I recently purchased a white dial neo monster. It's only 100M wr, no screw down crown, but it's a beauty and hard to find in the usa, you'll probably have to import it from Japan like I did. I also have a yellow dial kinetic that is great, and green dial seiko 5 auto, that goes next to my 1971 green dial day date, in the watchbox.

The old 1971 was purchased for me in 1971 still works, not as accurate as it used to be but one day I'll send it to seiko pulsar service in Mahway NJ for a "tune up" and i'm sure it will be back to specs.

There is a seiko history book that I have as a pdf. Very interesting reading, but long document. They cover the entire history of the company, from the company;s point of view. Anybody wants is PM me and I'll email it. As you can tell I consider myself a seiko collector.

Whats there to hate about seikos? Great watches at competitive prices, good styling too. ^_^

I guess it's like asking "why do you dislike St John's Bay shirts from JC Penny's?" Seiko's made their company replicating other watches but lack the balls to bother doing it right. At least a rep goes the full monty. To me a Seiko is just an unoriginal P.O.S. I would never wear one. Maybe I would wear a Tuna can in the right circumstance. But 99% of Seiko's I think are just the worst.
