rickyrosey 2 Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) hey guys and gals, here is my picture review of my favorite watch the ''Maximillian Busser & friends horological machine number 2'' geez thats a mouth full so let's just call it the mb&f HM2. it is truly a unique watch not only in shape the dimensions are 59mm x 39mm x 13mm but also in design and function. the watch features 2 ar coated crystals the left one is the functional date and faux moon phase and on the right is the hour disc and minute hand. the crown is located on the top side and is protected by the crown guard, to set the time is not that easy in order to reach the crown you need to remove the strap first, now that sounds like a lot of work but is actually quite easy and fast because it is equipped with a lever to easily romeve the strap allowing access to the crown, to set the time you push out the crown guard and when you are done push it back in and fit the strap again. the design: in my eyes is simply cool, it is a steel base with on top a black ''ceramic'' (it is actually pvd coated brushed steel) and gold coated bezels. on the back side you have a large window to see the modified movement (no idea what it is ) it has around 2 days of power reserve. there are four machined lugs that hold the strap. one note though the engravings are wrong they mention it is limited to 66 pieces but actually the ceramic gold version is limited to 33 and the full gold is limited to 66 and the all steel version to 125 pieces. how it wears: this is probably a point that most of you wonder about how does it wear on your wrist. well i think it is rather comfortable, at least more comfortable then you might think, it is still a large watch but because the lugs are a bit shaped to the wrist it fits really good. the only thing is when i wear it im alsway more carefull i dont bump in into something because the edges stick out a bit so you can use it as a daily wearer but i usually switch to an other watch when i get back home so i can be less carefull not to damage it. the cool thing is when you wear it under a shirt you can cover it up almost completely and you will only see the time and then you pop it our from under your sleeve for full view. it is a real head turner, i always get good comments on it, i once had a teacher who in the middle of his lecture noticed my watch and he stopped class for over 20 minutes just to talk about how much he liked it. enough talk for now i'll let you enjoy the pictures. quick set button for the date here you can see the quick release pushbar to remove the strap for setting the time here it is in comparison to a rolex sub hope you enjoyed Edited May 14, 2013 by rickyrosey

TheInthusiest 0 Posted May 15, 2013 I think if it were to be cut in half, it would appeal to a much broader spectrum of customers. I would totally wear it regardless.

fgdhdfsd 0 Posted April 3, 2015 That's a really great watch! You said you bought it in 2011. In case you're still having it, is it in good condition? I'm asking because I want to buy the same model (a replica) on a chinese website and I wonder if it could last for years. Cheers
