Olly 0 Posted February 16, 2014 So you have the diameter of the thread which is at the inner point of the thread to the centre of the hole x2 = 2r =D
SSTEEL 0 Posted February 17, 2014 Now you lost me lol. Measure the diameter of the thread in mm, the length of the thread, count the number of turns in the thread and work out the pitch from there?

fatarms 8,217 Posted February 26, 2014 This thread shows talent and sheer dedication to a project. It looks great so far and can't wait to see the finished product It really shows the corners that they cut for the reps and how precise gens are.

SSTEEL 0 Posted March 9, 2014 man I wish I had this much time on my hands Me too, I spend more time working on other peoples projects then my one these days, but I'm not complaining. My Carrera is finally finished! Well, almost lol. Just noticed I haven't removed all the polish from the minute hand I will sort that tomorrow, I will also replace the case back for one I have spare with no scratches. I was not 100% happy with the original case I had used for my franken, and actually quite liked one of the donor cases I acquired for research of the bezel assemblies. I Was also not entirely happy with the chronograph hands not being BANG ON, they were a smidgen off, just a hair of a second, and whilst barely noticeable to most, it was niggling me, so removed the hands, and spent some quality time today on cleaning them up a little, and refitting 100% aligned Here's some photos from today, mainly during assembly, and polishing... J!m 289 Posted March 16, 2014 Looks great and I agree- the hands have to pe PREFECTLY alligned. Setting hands on a chronograph can take as long as all the other work combined... Even on a regular watch, I set the hands at midnight, so I can ensure the same amount of hour hand is peeking from either side of the minute hand when it is set bang-on midnight. I also run them around several times to make sure they line up perfectly when driven around by the gear train and that the date clicks (if it has one) between 11:55 and midnight. Nice job and informative post for sure!
moustilou 0 Posted April 8, 2014 It's an amazing work! I imagine how complicated it was...but not for U it seems! 100000000 congrats!

P4GTR 0 Posted April 8, 2014 One of my favs also. I was just posting in another thread about how many watches I've owned/sold over the years and have very few regrets. Both my gen and rep Carrera are the ones I wish I still had. Stellar work. Is that a gen dial? Movement? Can you cliffnote what parts this build is now? Enjoy it & thanks for sharing the journey. garnier10 0 Posted December 20, 2014 Good work! I lost the bezel in my carrera day date white dial, the silver bezel. Is it possible to buy another silver bezel insert? I am desperate and I don't know where to find one
garnier10 0 Posted March 7, 2017 Is it possible to install the rep hands in a gen calibre 16 movement? I mean, can any watchmaker do it somehow? I am not able to get the gen hands

If you look carefully most people on this thread have been banned or haven't been on here for years so you are completely wasting your time on what is very obscure anyway. You might be better looking elsewhere.
