onionbag 1 Posted June 22, 2013 In 'vintage' condition, i.e. wearable but worn.........these go for $800..........
Bash64 17 Posted June 23, 2013 At that bid, it still needs a lot of work to get it into shape, but if you did some movement mix and match, a few replacement parts, you could makes some money on it. Tunas are sought after.
Mazz 62 Posted June 23, 2013 If the dial is in good condition that's not a bad price for a vintage Tuna might be able to source some other parts out of it too. The hands look to be in ok shape. Not bad for parts.
cheeese 0 Posted June 23, 2013 $400 for the watch $30 for new Seiko quartz movement ($150 is you want to make it an automatic) $60 for a crystal Case polish = $0 dial and hands are in good shape Once cleaned up and working this watch will sell northwards of $1300. So if someone were to restore it you're talking $800 profit for a couple hours of labor if that.
cragster 0 Posted June 23, 2013 looks like a pile of shit and somebody has wrote seiko on it with a stick

Guyute 0 Posted June 23, 2013 I was going to say, "Pffffft! That'll buff right out!", but the I saw the dual and hands. That's considered good condition? I don't get the vintaging thing. Not with guitars, not with watches. Would you prefer to drive around a vintage car that was beat to shit, or a vintage car that had been carefully restored to like new condition? Didn't say I liked it, but I get why some people do. However, I did prove my point.
Mazz 62 Posted June 23, 2013 I don't think it's so much vintage as a parts watch as cheese and I said there are quite a few valuable parts to be had out of it
scorpion 0 Posted June 23, 2013 Well its at $306 now. I get the idea you could make something out of it but not why anyone would want a vintage badly aged one for $1300. To make this even 90% it needs following:- New bracelet or rubber strap New case back as no amount of polish will buff that back to condition as its all worn away New Hands - seriously would you keep them in that state New Crystal - again no way would that mess buff out New movement New bezel New missing case screws Relume dial So you might if lucky be able to salvage its case and dial. But under all that mess i doubt you would ever get a perfect case unless you spend many days polishing it starting off with a bastard file. You might have to remove so much metal it will then be weak or not look correct. Payment still not sent, still not convinced on all this ugly aged stuff. i mean it's rare enough for anyone to even notice a nice big new fat Breitling Bentley on your wrist, anyone seeing an aged watch will most likely think poor bastard can't even afford a decent watch! I get the old but not aged . Currently bidding on old but not aged below:-
