HWG 11 Posted June 28, 2013 Growing tired of reps, and not a bank account to afford any gen I want, I started looking into modding Seikos. This one started out as a SKX007 black dial on seiko jubilee bracelet. Parts from Dagaz, mods done by his US based guy. Total time frame was just under 3 weeks. (including purchase and shipping of the watch, parts, send to modder, return ship to me) Mods done: Yellow Plongeur hands white box seconds hand brushed aluminum chapter ring sea explorer dial super engineer bracelet Superlume pressure test for swimming. One before shot: And how it looks today: Thanks for looking!

The watch couldn't be more solid & with all the different dials & hands, the possibilities are endless. Here's my summer watch. I'm working up my next mod as we speak! gtwc 1 Posted June 28, 2013 Whoo !!!! That looks great. Just wondering as to why you decided to remove Seiko from the dial? Personally, I would have kept it. Thoughts anyone?

Tits McGee 7 Posted June 28, 2013 Whoo !!!! That looks great. Just wondering as to why you decided to remove Seiko from the dial? Personally, I would have kept it. Thoughts anyone? You pick out the dial they have available, then you pick out the hands, then you decide if you want a chapter ring, sapphire crystal, etc.....it's all custom aftermarket items. The Seiko dials are sent back to you with your finished mod.

P4GTR 0 Posted June 28, 2013 Also added exhibition case back: @PBR, I have two modded Seikos.... one will be sold soon, and NOT this one. I have to be honest, I can't get used to the weird location of the crown on the Seiko's. I do like the watch much better after the mods though. What movement is that? It looks the same as that used in the UN MMD's. If they are the same, that's something we need to know for parts/servicing.
HWG 11 Posted June 28, 2013 Dan, its the stock 7S26 auto movement. Ive only seen it in Seiko.
