veritech 0 Posted July 1, 2013 After a few watches I originally wanted were out of stock, I finally settled on this Breitling Avenger Seawolf, but not being too familiar with the generations, could anyone help me shed some light as to when these were originally released (Breitling site just has the current versions up): http://silix-prime.so/images/bres082_02.jpg http://silix-prime.so/images/bres082.jpg http://silix-prime.so/images/bres082_01.jpg I already approved QC, just trying to research what's being delivered. veritech 0 Posted July 1, 2013 After getting shut down with 3 watches I originally wanted, I said, "to hell with it" and found something I sort of liked. Does anyone know? My own search keeps bringing up the new version.
bowtiefanatc 16 Posted July 1, 2013 If you get a better pic of the B on the dial that will help. Also, the white on the numbers is what made me believe it was V1. Looks just like my dad's V1

Higs 73 Posted July 1, 2013 Are those the QC pics of the watch you bought or images lifted from the Silix website?
Hazz 0 Posted July 1, 2013 Looks like a V1 to me I tend to agree, the borders on the markers look thinner than the v2 Still a great watch, I prefer the v1

Silix, QC pics looked pretty much the same from this untrained eye. Del 4,497 Posted July 2, 2013 Is this the one with the Asian movement? I don't even think it's a true H-factory v1 tbh - lume dots are all over the place.

veritech 0 Posted July 2, 2013 Is this the one with the Asian movement? I don't even think it's a true H-factory v1 tbh - lume dots are all over the place. What do you mean by "all over the place"? A shitty one just like me. They lied and said it was v2. Pissed! How do you know the difference between V1 and V2 and what's shitty about it? My QC pics resemble the stock photos on the Silix site, but without it in-hand yet, I can't really make an assessment. Hopefully it's not a case of "good from far, but far from good". Higs 73 Posted July 2, 2013 Yep, looks like the dots at 1,3 & 5 were applied by Stevie Wonder (in a hurry). Some of the others don't look much better.

I won't know for sure until I get it in my sweaty hands, but judging from my QC pics and pics of V2s I've seen from other members there is a drastic difference in lume application and the way the numbers are stamped in the dial. Look at Del's V2 to see what I mean. I asked specifically if it was a V2 and was assured that it is so we shall see Edited July 3, 2013 by mikeangie78
Haltec 0 Posted July 3, 2013 That's the one I was thinking to buy. Can you drop me a QC's at haltec1 on gmail, please. Kind thanks. Somewhere I stumbled on info that lume dots are glued and not directly applicated. Anyone knows more? Can this dots can be "re-lumed" ? Haltec

Haltec QC pics may vary as the batch of watches change, unless there's dead stock all the TDs are still trying to move. A majority of watches out there can be re-lumed/super-lumed. Haltec 0 Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) All you said is correct. But this is slightly specific. Reluming is replacing old with new lume, which made sense when lume is correctly placed firstely. Those dots are misplaced and as such should be removed without living residue or destroying the dial. That's the issue here. It's no big deal to relume triangle on 12 on some vintage Rolex Comex, but try to "delete" it and put a small circle instead. (WITHOUT a destroying dial) Nevertheless... I am stil waiting for those QC's on my mail. Haltec Edited July 3, 2013 by Haltec
